kids Volunteer Positions
1) Lead Teachers (3 People)
These people love to teach kids about Jesus and has fun while doing it. They can speak to a group of kids and lead them through a series of activities, games and stories with a lesson plan provided for them. These people lead the group into discussions about the Bible story that day and provide a time of prayer with the kids.
2) Teacher Assistants (3+ People)
These people assists the lead teacher and may also lead a smaller portion of the lesson like reading the Bible story or leading a game or craft. They help encourage the kids to listen & have fun while stories are being read or instructions are happening. They also engage in meaningful conversations to help the kids on the sidelines feel included.
3) Nursery Volunteers (2 people)
These people love babies and younger toddlers. An important part of this role is helping the little ones and parents feel comfortable so the parents can go back into the service if they want to. Interacting and playing with the toddlers as well as reading a story or two helps make this time enjoyable for the kids.
4) Junior leaders (3+ people)
If you are in grade 7 or older, you can become a junior leader. You can help the teachers with crafts, games and stories and help the kids have fun! This a great opportunity to gain some experience with kids and leadership.
5) Sign-in table & Security person
This person welcomes families and children to church. You help each family sign their kids in and print their name tag and parent code tags. You assist the families and kids if they need help with the sign in process and answer any questions they may have. This person will also watch the door and be a floater as security.
