Wes Linde
Growing up in Duncan, Wes loves living here and has a huge heart for the people of the Cowichan Valley. He surrendered his life to Jesus at the age of seventeen and was called to pastoral ministry through prayer down by the river at McAdam Park. Wes and his wife Christy graduated high school here and were married at Bethel Baptist Church in 2001. Wes has also served for many years at Camp Qwanoes and loves his role as the Lead Pastor of Valley Church. He loves getting to know new people and learning names, and is passionate about helping people take a next step on the path of their journey with Jesus.
Wes graduated from Northwest Seminary, through ACTS Seminaries of Trinity Western University in 2019 with a Masters of Arts in Christian Studies and is the Lead Pastor of Valley Church. Wes has been a pastor in local churches in BC for almost 25 years.
Wes has a lot of interests, including; running, hiking, camping, music, coffee, reading, growing garlic, anything to do with the Lord of The Rings or the Silmarillion, the Vancouver Canucks and most of all spending time with his wife Christy and his four kids.

Christy Linde
Christy has a deep love for the Cowichan Valley. She grew up in Duncan, graduated high school here, and married her husband Wes in this community—just a few of the reasons they sensed Jesus calling them to plant a church in this place they call home. Christy was raised in a pastor’s family, and her own call to pastoral ministry has been through the planting of Valley Church. She serves on staff as a co-planter alongside Wes, giving leadership to administration and pastoral care, overseeing the worship ministry, and serving on the preaching team.
Christy has recently completed her Masters of Arts in Christian Studies degree at Northwest Seminary through ACTS Seminaries of Trinity Western University.
Christy enjoys reading and writing, drinking good coffee, hiking, and spending time at the ocean, but most of all Christy enjoys spending time with her husband Wes and her four kids.

Amanda Moilliet
Amanda is a photographer and part owner of Three Sisters Photography and is employed part-time as our Children’s Director. She also volunteers with graphics, social media and photography. Amanda grew up in Duncan graduating from Duncan Christian School and was married to her husband Luke in Parksville in 2010.
Amanda has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Kings University in Alberta and has taught English as a second language in Asia and Canada.
Amanda loves to teach children the truths of the Bible in creative ways. She loves to travel, explore new places, spend time at the beach and go camping with her husband Luke and their three girls.

From being born in Duncan to spending his childhood in Tanzania as a missionary kid, Tate has made a full circle worldwide only to find himself back where it all started. Tate is employed part-time as our Youth Pastor and is on our preaching team. Tate has many hobbies, but his greatest passion is seeing youth grow in their faith and discover Jesus. He serves as the Youth Pastor at Valley Church and is on our preaching team.
Tate has his Bachelor's degree in Youth Ministry. He earned his degree through Briercrest while apprenticing in The Coalition for Youth Ministry Leadership and is starting his Masters Degree through Northwest Seminary in the Immerse Program in the fall of 2026.
Tate loves creating artwork, learning computer coding and the great outdoors. He and his wife, Kara, love exploring the PNW, and you’ll often find them using their creativity in many different ways.

Ben Laird
Ben works at Camp Qwanoes as the Youth Leadership Programs Coordinator and was married to his wife Melissa at New Life Community Church in 2020. Ben has grown up going to Camp Qwanoes his whole life and volunteers as the Jr. Associate Pastor of Valley Church. He also serves as a regular preacher on our preaching team.
Ben has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Pastoral Leadership from Pacific Life Bible College, and is starting his Masters Degree through Northwest Seminary in the Immerse Program this coming year.
Ben is a master at trivia questions, is often seen wearing sports jerseys, loves Nicolas Cage movies and his dog “Louie”. Most of all Ben loves spending time with his daughter and Melissa his wife, especially when it's eating her favourite food…. Thai Food!

Tara-Marie Arnold
Originally from England, Tara works at Camp Qwanoes as the Registrar and has been living in Crofton since April 2024. She is on staff as a Pastoral Immerse Student, who helps as a volunteer lead our worship ministry with Christy and is on our preaching team. Tara is also passionate about caring for the marginalized in our community and looks forward to helping us be more active as a church in our community.
Tara has a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a minor in Psychology, but is also currently pursuing a Masters Degree through Northwest Seminary in the Immerse program.
Tara loves travelling, music, spending time with friends and reading.

Michael Faulkner
Michael recently moved to the Cowichan Valley from Langley after working for the summer at Camp Qwanoes. He is our volunteer ministry intern that oversees our Young Adults, but he also has a passion for helping our church engage with the marginalized in our community. Michael loves people and enjoys seeing how people connect and find community, especially his peers.
Michael has studied his first year at Columbia Bible College and his second year he studied Social Work at UFV in Abbostford.
Michael loves good coffee, running, music, serving and advocating for the people in our community who are underprivileged and/or unhoused.
